What
Makes Our Ministry Unique?
|
|
The uniqueness
of Restoration Christian Fellowship lies
in the vision God gave our Sr. Pastor. The goal of our vision is
to establish a ministry who ministers to the complete person, mind,
body, and spirit by meeting the spiritual, physical, social, economical,
and educational needs of our community. Our objective in ministry
is to place the church where it belongs, in the community!
The
following is an excerpt taken from Restoration Christian Fellowships
first service February 21, 1999

| Our
Vision Involves
breaking down traditional walls of religion providing a place for
freedom to worship God. It involves breaking down cultural, racial,
and denominational walls resulting in unity of the body of Christ.
It includes building a bridge from the church to the community, and
community to the church by fostering healthy relationships with God.

| Our
Vision Includes creating several jobs and ministry opportunities
through Operation Nehemiah. It involves
providing programs of employment empowerment, entrepreneurial training
and assistance, for single parents and low-income families. It includes
providing counseling opportunities for individuals, and families who
are dealing with abusive relationships, substance abuse, and basic
dysfunctional issues in the home. It includes providing financial,
and social counseling leading our community to a position of self-sufficiency.
It includes providing food, clothing, and other social service needs
to residents in our community. |
|
| Our
Vision Includes becoming a working liaison between the
community and other institutions of higher learning. It includes providing
opportunity for all in our community who desire, an opportunity to
become computer literate. It includes providing job enhancement training,
and computer learning skills for people in the community. It involves
providing educational opportunities that will enhance the academic
skills of our children. It includes providing an after school learning
center, and summer camp programs for the youth and children of our
community. |
|
|
Our
Vision Involves
providing an opportunity for children and youth of low-income families,
and single parent homes, an opportunity to participate in our athletic
and social skills programs through our recreational facility. It
involves providing opportunities to mentor youth dealing with difficulties
in life.
Our
vision is not a wish list, but an agenda of restoration. Our vision
must and will come to past. It was given to us from God!
